I'M NEW HERE

YOUR FIRST VISIT

IF IT'S YOUR FIRST VISIT TO SUMMIT CHURCH,

WE WANT YOU TO FEEL WELCOME AND AT HOME.

You will not be judged or criticized, and you can expect a warm and family-friendly atmosphere.

We don't expect you to give in the offering (you can if you like), but rather, we would like to give to you (Acts 3:6*).

ABOUT OUR CHURCH

Summit Church isn't
about a building,
a program,
or a religion:
it's about relationship.

We want you to find purpose in loving God, loving people, and serving others.

Come, find your place at home with the Summit Church family and with Christ, and together we'll change the heartbeat of our local community.

OUR PURPOSE

-to Love God:

we must put him at the summit (the highest point, or center) of our lives: At Summit Church, we make our best effort to worship God as the center of our lives. When one becomes God-centered, it enables that individual to begin living in balance, growing in love, peace, joy and righteousness. (Gal. 5:22-23*, Rom. 14:17*).

-to love people:

we have to be selfless and put our focus on other people, not ourselves: God cares about people.
When we are centered (or balanced) in Him, we can begin to see the deep need of those around us and will become driven to serve and help others; and not just help in the physical, material world, but spiritually as we draw closer to Him.
(Acts 3:6-8*).

-to serve everyone:

we must be able and willing to speak the truth: What we believe makes a difference. God has given all mankind the truth in His Word, which is the forever-settled, absolute, and the final authority (John 17:17-19*, Psa. 119:89*). Knowing this, true friends are not the ones who only tell us what we want to hear; but rather, in this case, true friends are the ones who tell us the truth, because they care about us and our souls. If we allow it, the truth and light of God's word will make us free, and our lives will be changed (John 8:31-36*).
Summit Church is a growing, giving community of families that desire to make a difference in the Fairfield community and in our world.
Come expecting to feel an overwhelming sense of love and the powerful presence of GOD.
You will find a group of people with a strong passion to love God and help others. You can come and find God real for yourself.
You will find an atmosphere that will keep you from being bored: Our worship style allows you to freely worship God in your own way!

OUR BELIEFS

  • WE BELIEVE IN AUTHENTIC CHRISTIANITY

    We believe in authentic Christianity.

    We believe in Healing.

    We believe in Deliverance.

    • We believe in having Power over evil spirits.
    • We believe in Empowerment from the Holy Ghost.
    • We believe one can have an authentic Biblical book of Acts experience.
  • ABOUT GOD
    • God in His essential being is invisible (John 1:18, I Timothy 1:17), unknowable (Luke 10:22, Matthew 11:27), immaterial (John 4:24), omnipresent (Psalm 139:7-12), is one in number and unity (Deuteronomy 6:4), is Father of the universe as Creator / Progenitor (Isaiah 63:16, 9:6, Psalm 89:26), and Paternally to humanity as Nurturer and Caregiver (Psalm 103:13, Matthew 9:6).
  • THE WORD OF GOD
    • The Word is God self-revealing (John.1:1-3), God’s self-disclosure of Himself (Hebrew1:1-3, Isaiah 9:6), God going out from Himself (Revelation 5:6,7) God proceeding or emanating; the one whose “goings forth” have been from of old, from everlasting (Micah 5:2 Revelation 1:8).
    • We believe in the inerrancy of scripture, that the Bible is inspired by God, and is the absolute authority of ultimate reality.
    • The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God (II Timothy 3:16; Ephesians 3:5; II Peter 3:2).

    The Gospel

The gospel, or “good news,” is that Christ has suffered the curse of sin. Thus providing deliverance and salvation to all who by faith obey the gospel (Romans 1:16,17; Acts 2:37-38; Galatians 3:13-15).

As one studies this divine revelation (Bible) it calls for certain changes in a person's life. As a person chooses to make these changes they become peculiar to the flow of society, but pleasing in the sight of God. Thus, endeavoring to live a life holy and acceptable unto the Lord.

  • ABOUT SEPARATION

    About Separation -

As one studies this divine revelation (bible) it calls for certain changes in a persons life. As a person chooses to make these changes they become peculiar to the flow of society, but pleasing in the sight of God. Thus endeavoring to live a life holy and acceptable unto the Lord.

  • JESUS CHRIST

    • The authority of God is vested in the Name of Jesus (Philippian 2:9-10; Matthew 7:22; Mark 16:7; John 14:14;: Acts 4:12). All that the believer does “in word or deed” is to be done in Jesus’ Name (Colossians 3:17). The Name of Jesus becomes our new “family name” (I Corinthians 1:12-15; Romans 6:4: II Corinthians 5:17), replacing the old family name of “Adam” (I Corinthians 15:45-50). The authority of the Godhead is vested in the Name of Jesus (Philippians 2:9-10; Matthew 7:22; Mark 16:7; John 14:14;)!
    • Jesus Christ is the Word become flesh (John 1: 1, 14, Micah 5:2), God manifest in the flesh (I Timothy 3:16), the image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15), and in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9). He is God visible (Hebrews 1:1-3), knowable (John 14:8), approachable (Matthew 11:28-30), touchable (I John. 1:1-3, John. 20:27), is the revealer of the Father (John 14:9, 17:6), the only way to the Father (Matthew 11:27, John 14:6-8), and the Father revealed (John 10:30, Isaiah.9:6, Revelation 1:8, 11). He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, the Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come (Revelation 1:8). He is also completely human (Hebrews 2:10-18), the true son of Mary (Matthew 2:1, Luke 2:33, 34, Galatians 4:4), the second man Adam (I Corinthians 15:47), the last Adam (I Corinthians 15:45), and the Son of God by both birth (Luke 1:35, Rom. 1:3), and declaration (Romans 1:4, Acts 13:33). His victory over death, hell, and the grave (I Corinthians 15:1-4) elevates the name of Jesus to the position of highest universal authority. The full power and authority of the Godhead is encapsulated in that name (John 5:43, Philippians 2:9, John 14:13, 14, 26, Acts 4:12).

  • OUR WORSHIP

We worship in prayer, praise and Lifestyle.

    •           PRAYER- God is not a distant creator that cannot be touched or experienced. We worship God in prayer. We commune with Him. It is a medium herewith we can express the reason for our existence, which is relationship with God. ( Psalm 65:2; James 5:16).
    •     PRAISE- We believe praise is a form of worship that God inhabits when we come together (Psalms 22:3; Matt 18:20). We praise God in singing, with musical instruments, clapping, shouting, and even dancing (Psalm 150). If one is looking for a quiet, boring church they will probably not enjoy The Summit.
    •     LIFESTYLE- We worship God in our lifestyle believing that a relationship with Jesus brings us closer to the image and likeness that He created us to be in. Therefore, our lifestyle is an expression of that relationship that we would be a light to the world (1 Peter 2:9). We believe that a relationship with Jesus allows us to walk in the authority of Jesus. Therefore, through relationship one can live with empowerment over demonic forces expressing the same works of healing and deliverance that Jesus did; We are a book of Acts authentic Christian church (John 14:12).
